Injectable ThreadLift™
Grand Rapids, West Michigan, Traverse City, and Lansing, MIchigan
The Centre for Plastic Surgery is pleased to offer the Injectable ThreadLiftT to our Michigan plastic surgery patients. This revolutionary new procedure goes beyond the traditional methods of other injectable dermal fillers, which simply fill in your lines and wrinkles. The Injectable ThreadLift is the latest concept in facial contouring and will help to redirect your facial skin and tissues in an upward fashion. The results leave you with a more refreshed and youthful appearance.
The Injectable ThreadLift Procedure
The Injectable ThreadLift uses an "arcing" technique to administer dermal fillers in your face. The filler is delivered in a manner that collects the skin and helps to restore your tissues' structural support while simultaneously redirecting skin and tissue back where it belongs.
Most dermal filler injection techniques treat your skin in only two dimensions. In other words, the filler is always placed at the same depth in the dermis. The Injectable ThreadLift uses a three-dimensional technique to inject an arc of support at varying depths of your dermis using one continuous thread of dermal filler.
The arcing method of injection provides several main benefits over other filler techniques:
- It generates "scaffolding" which helps prevents the skin in the treated region from repeatedly creasing or folding
- Typically less dermal filler is used (fewer number of syringes are necessary)
- Fewer injection points are required to achieve your desired cosmetic results
This procedure can be used to:
- Lift the cheeks
- Give lips a more youthful shape
- Lift up your jowls
- Lift up the corners of your mouth
Am I a Candidate for the Injectable ThreadLift?
The Injectable ThreadLift is an effective treatment for most patients who need treatment in the following areas:
- Nasolabial folds
- Oral commissures (mouth corners)
- Loss of volume in the cheeks
- Heaviness along the jaw (Jowling)
- Marionette lines (area from corner of mouth to jaw)
If possible, you should refrain from taking any blood thinning medications or products for at least one week before your treatment.
At your initial consultation, our board certified Michigan plastic surgeons will discuss your cosmetic goals with you in order to determine if this procedure is right for you.
